The day starts with informational displays and vendors at the 7th St. Park and entertainment featuring the talented Christina Delea. Park activities run from 10 to 11 AM, followed by the Elks Annual Flag Day Ceremony at 11 AM, and then the park activities will continue until 1:30PM.
The parade steps off at 2 PM at Green & State Street and will march down Warren St, ending at the Amtrak Train Station.
Parade goers will see a variety of participation from community groups, churches, fire companies, youth groups, and businesses. We have marchers, vehicles, floats and marching bands.
The big bands returning include The Hawthorne Caballeros, 20th Century Limited and Brass-O-Mania, along with our favorite high school marching bands and more! Some of these groups will give an additional performance at the waterfront as well, followed by the judges’ announcement of trophies earned.
The water front will be full of vendors with the most variety of foods that we have ever had! There will also be entertainment provided by Dusk to Dawn and Side Show Willie and an amusement area with rides for the young at heart.
The area’s largest fireworks display, produced by Young Explosives, will round out the night at Hudson’s Riverfront Park at about 9 PM.
